dc.description2023 was a significant milestone on the road towards changing how we deliver health and social care services, as envisaged in the Programme for Government and the Sláintecare Policy Platform. We began the establishment of six new HSE Health Regions, a process we expect to complete in 2024. This change, coupled with the change in size, purpose and function of the HSE at national level (the Centre) is designed to bring about integrated care, effective decision-making and local focus. It marks a significant departure from the organisation that was, over the past 18 years.en_US
