An International Health Group was convened by the CEO, Professor Brendan Drumm, in 2007 to consider the involvement of the HSE in working with developing countries. An intranet survey of HSE staff was undertaken in 2008 to provide information on the type and amount of staff’s experience. The survey also looked for views on Irish health service involvement in different methods of support for developing countries and how staff could be personally involved. The survey elicited 2,090 responses.en_US
