This evaluation has been informed by data collected between September 2016 and August 2018 from 194 respondents who each participated in one of fourteen FPSHP courses. The evaluation found that the participants were from a mix of employment backgrounds and represented a diverse range of professionals from social work, community development, health and education, which is in line with the programme’s recruitment aims. The evaluation findings indicate that while the training course has had a positive impact on participants’ levels of comfort, confidence, knowledge and skills in addressing sexual health issues, it is insufficient in itself to bring about the required impact on their practice. Additional supports at the organisational level may be required so that participants can translate their awareness, knowledge and skills into sexual health promotion activities within their work settings.en_US
