dc.description | The National Children's Office (NCO) was established In 2001 to Improve all aspects of children's lives by leading and supporting the implementation of the National Children's Strategy, Our Children - The" Lives (November 2000). The Implementation of the National Children's Strategy is spearheaded by the Minister for Children, Brian Lenihan, TD, who reports to the Cabinet Committee on Children. The NCO is headed by the Director, Frances Spillane, who reports to the Secretary-General of the Department of Health and Children. The NCO has an advisory board of senior officials from government departments involved in implementing the National Children's Strategy. | en |
