dc.description	Please find enclosed a copy of the above Report, which was undertaken by the Department of Public Health. The aim of the research was to conduct a full needs analysis to identify the housing needs of older people who fit the eligibility criteria for the Special Housing Aid for the Elderly Scheme within the Western Health Board. Additionally, to determine what improvements need to be made either immediately or in the short to medium term to make their homes fully habitable. The assessment was guided by the basic objective that every elderly person should reside as independently and as long as possible in his or her own home.	en
