The Palliative Care Needs Assessment Exercise arose from a recommendation of the Report by the National Advisory Committee on Palliative Care. This long awaited Report is most welcome and indeed will play a huge part in shaping the future delivery of Palliative Care Services in Ireland for the future years ahead. The undertaking of this exercise was a collaborative approach between Voluntary and Statutory Agencies. It is this partnership to date that has pioneered the development and operating of the Specialist Palliative Care Services in the Mid West.en
