To maintain elderly people in dignity and independence in their own home. 2. To restore those elderly people who become ill or dependent to independence at home. 3. To encourage and support the care of the elderly in their own community by family, neighbours and voluntary bodies in every way possible 4. To provide a high quality of hospital and residential care for elderly people when they can no longer be maintained in dignity and independence at home.en_GB
