This review, which· is ongoing, is being. undertaken by the Hospital Services Division of the Department of· Health, assisted by Comhairle na n-Ospideal. It commenced with a series of discussions· involving all of the health boards and the public voluntary hospi tals in the country. Arising out of.· these. discussions a number of specific areas were identified for further in-depth examination. Comhairle na. n-Ospideal has been requested to undertake the examination of a number of these specific areas of. hospital activity.
