dc.description	In Ireland, national epidemiological data on TB have been collated by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) since 1998. From January 2000, this information has included enhanced surveillance data items based on the minimum dataset r eported to Eur oTB. The resulting National Tuberculosis Surveillance System (NTBSS) was set up following consultation with the eight health boards and the National TB Advisory Committee. The National TB Advisory Committee was r econvened in October 2004. This r eport pr esents an epidemiological r eview of TB cases notified to HPSC by each of the health boar ds in Ir eland during 2003. Data for 2003 have been validated and updated to include information r elating to tr eatment outcome. Pr ovisional data for 2004 ar e pr esented in Appendix 1	en_GB
