dc.description	People are becoming increasingly well informed about health and expect to be fully involved in decisions made about their health. Many people with chronic health problems such as diabetes or asthma know an incredible amount about their problem and its management. Most people want services as close to home as possible, but expect specialist advice to be available within their region. People expect their health care workers and particularly their General Practitioners to be aware of current developments and expect them to have an overview of their health. People assume that services are linked together in a co-ordinated way with all the providers of services fully informed about their care. People increasingly want to have choices about their health. Services also recognised the importance of self help and self care in maintaining health.	en_GB
