dc.descriptionArising from a decision by the Minister in July, 1987 to establish a review group to examine eligibility to practice chiropody in the public health service , the inaugural meeting of the Review Group took place on the 12th April, 1988, with a remit to submit recommendations to the Minister on: ( i ) an appropriate mechanism to assess all interested and practising chiropodists as to their competence to provide services for public patients; and ( ii ) the future regulations of chiropodists, including their training , taking into account the financial parameters within which the health services will have to operate in the coming years.en_GB
