The National Drugs Advisory Board received 463 reports in all during 1976. From these 844 adverse reactions were recorded associated with the use of drugs during the year. There were 13 cases of drug interactions - these are listed separately. Three interactions of Warfarin with other concurrently used drugs have been reported, two resulting in increased prothrombin time presumably from the displacement of Warfarin from its binding sites. while in one case Carbamazepine resulted in the more rapid degradation of Warfarin. Most of the remainder were additive effects due to the concurrent use of drugs having depressant effects on the central nervous systemen_GB
