M.Sc in Health Informatics
|

Research interests:

|
Health Informatics Education. We have developed a 1 year taught M.Sc in Health Informatics in IT Tralee. This is open to graduates in all the healthcare professions and also to graduates of computing and technology courses.
Electronic Healthcare Records. I have been involved in a number of EU framework projects and publications over the last 18 years including Openlabs (FP3), Synapses (FP4), Synex (FP4), Intercare (FP4), QLab+(FP4) and Teamworks (FP5)
Wireless Sensor Networks. I have been involved in researching Shimmer-based wireless sensor networks through the Netwell Centre in Dundalk.
