Description:
This report aims to provide a comprehensive framework for management development activities for the roles in question. The competency frameworks are the result of research commissioned by The Office for Health Management in 2001, in response to a need identified in a report from the Expert Group on Various Health Professions, 2000. The Office for Health Management decided to extend this research to include the clerical administrative grades to ensure that their management development needs could also be considered. A steering group, representative of The Office for Health Management, The Department of Health and Children, IMPACT & HR Directors, was assembled to guide the research. While Medical Scientists and Radiographers were not within the focus of the report from the expert group, they were included in this research and SIPTU was invited onto the steering group to represent them.
