In 2011 many developments in a range of areas were covered in the family therapy journals. Some important family therapy articles were also published in clinical psychology and psychiatry journals. In this review, reference will be made to particularly significant articles and also to less significant but representative articles in the areas of child-focused problems, adult-focused problems, couples therapy, medical family therapy, military family therapy, theory, research, and training. Reference will also be made to the new Journal of Couple and Family Psychology and Human Systems twentyfirst anniversary special issues
