Abstract:
The article is a reflection of the author’s involvement with the National Traveller Monitoring and Advisory’s Mental Health Committee, with regard to making recommendations to improve the mental health outcomes for Travellers The article discusses the current situation of Travellers, the causes and risk factors for suicide, ways to address the risk of suicide particularly for young males, and the importance of an effective, culturally inclusive response from mental health service providers.
