Description:
The Rehabilitation Institute is now embarked on what may well be the most innovative and dynamic period in its history. This has arisen from the need to respond to a great challenge in Ireland and requests for assistance from abroad. The challenge in Ireland is unemployment. How can people with disabilities flourish in such a competitive market where so many struggle? Rehab's response has been on two fronts: Firstly, we have changed and upgraded all our programmes in line with the reality of the market place. We now offer 34 fully structured training programmes, each providing full certification by external certifying bodies. At any time, up to 2,500 people are availing of these services. Allied to this we are putting a great effort into helping our graduates to secure good jobs, with increasingly encouraging results.
