This guideline examines aspects of the health boards role in formulating, promoting and processing building , and allied activities derived from the provision of health care facilities within an overall on-going programme. There are many such aspects but the following are representative: Objectives and Procedures Determining the Functional Content Briefing Appointments/Design Team Programming (including cost) Tenders Equipment Variations Handing over procedures The guideline does not purport to be an exhaustive analysis of these matters but atterrpts to deal with them from a viewpoint based on consideration of experience and to the extent they are relevant to the functions discharged by the health board.
