1. Theory & Practice Hours: Requirements. In structuring the theory and practice across the four models presented, the EU Directive requirements were adhered to. ie: TheoreticaIInstruction:- no less than one third of 4600 hours = 1533hours. Clinical Practice: - no less than one half of 4600 hours = 2300 hours It should be noted that the current Diploma in Nursing Programme exceeds the EU requirements as follows: 58 weeks theory 86 weeks practice = @ 30 hours per week = 72 @ 35 hours per week = + 14 @ 546 hours per week = 1740 hours 2520 hours 546 hours 3066 Practice hours in total
