Description:
Planning for new and improved services has been a special feature of this Board's work since our establishment, our first five year plan being launched in 1973. The targets set out then have since been updated many times, and despite the swings in the economic fortunes of our country, and thanks to the support of the various Ministers and Officers of the Department of Health over the years, much progress has been achieved. Health and social gain coupled with equity is now uppermost in everybody's mind and in addition value for money and measurement of outcome, all based against the criteria laid down in our Service Plans. ensure that our management and staff avail of every opportunity possible to provide the highest level of service for the patients and persons we have the honour to serve.
