This Publication is designed to aid those involved in Vocational Training for General Practice by providing a framework for the provision and assessment of practices involved in teaching. The guidelines can be used for the assessment of prospective Trainers and their Practices as well as the more established teaching units. While stating specific criteria it is important not to loose sight of the training practice as an integral part of a Vocational Scheme and as such can .only be assessed adequately within this framework.The importance of active Trainers Workshops, critical analysis, research and evidence of commitment to both teaching and learning must also be taken into account.
