In a systematic review leadership walk-rounds and multi-faceted unit-based strategies are the two strategies with some stronger evidence to support a positive impact on patient safety culture in hospitals. The purpose of this Quality and Safety Walk-round Toolkit is to provide a structured process to bring senior managers and front line staff together to have conversations about quality and safety with the intention to prevent, detect and mitigate patient/staff harm.
