Description:
The Health Service Executives (HSE) National Service Plan (NSP) for 2013 was approved by the Minister for Health, Dr James Reilly TD on 9th January 2013. The NSP sets out the type and volume of services the HSE will provide directly and through a range of funded agencies, during 2013. These health and social care services must be delivered within the funding provided by Government and within the stipulated employment levels and is informed by the Department of Health’s (DoH) Statement of Strategy 2011 – 2014 and Future Health: A Strategic Framework for Reform of the Health Service 2012 – 2015, both of which set out the Government’s priorities for the health services. To support the NSP, a National Operational Plan has also been developed which is further supported by regional and hospital group plans. The Mid-Western Regional Hospitals Group (MWRHG) was established on the 9th January 2012 with one overall Group Management Team, one financial budget and one WTE ceiling with a CEO. An interim Board has been appointed on a non statutory basis pending new legislation in February 2013.
