(ADHD) is one of the most commonly diagnosed developmental disorders of childhood. It affects slightly more than 5% of all children, three boys for every girl, and often continues into adult life. ADHD is defined as developmentally inappropriate attention and/or hyperactivity and impulsivity so pervasive and persistent as to interfere with a child’s life. Children with ADHD have difficulty controlling their behaviour both at home and at school.
