Our Board is committed to inter-sectoral collaboration and integration and is working with other public service agencies at every level to achieve this. Our Board has been commended for our positive and pro-active approach to Partnerships and local area development since 1994, when our Chief Executive Officer asked our staff to. become more active1y involved in cross-agency integration and co-operation. Partnerships, in their present format, are expected to achieve their objectives by the end of 1999. From the year 2000 on it is envisaged that inter-sectoral fora will continue to work in an integrated way, having mainstreamed most of the initiatives set up from 1995 on.
