| Description: | This Symposium on "Monospecialist Training and Multidisciplinary Needs"
was one in a series of annual symposia being held under the auspices
of the postgraduate Medical and Dental Board on topics of major
importance to Irish Medical Manpower policies as wen as of direct
relevance to the Board' s terms of reference in relation to the promotion
and co-ordination of postgraduate medical and dental. education and the
provision of career guidance . This particular s symposium was prompted
by concerns expressed by the health board chief executive officers
that Irish higher medical training does not, perhaps, take sufficient
account of the organisation of the Irish hospital services as now
being developed. |
