| Description: | Nanotechnology involves the use of very small
particles (nanoparticles) that have an average
size, in at least one dimension, of one hundred
nanometres (nm) or less. A nanometre is one
billionth of a metre.
The chemical and physical characteristics of
nanomaterials can vary considerably from those
of their larger counterparts, often turning an
ordinary unreactive material into a highly
reactive substance. |
