| Description: | The Forum on Fluoridation established by Micheal Martin TD, Minister for Health, in May 2000 was given the task of performing the first major review of water fluoridation since its introduction in Ireland in 1964. The overall objective of the Forum was to review the fluoridation of public piped water supplies in Ireland and the associated programme of research and then to make recommendations to the Minister for Health and Children. The resulting report in a comprehensive review which aims to inform members of the public, legislators and health professionals about the benefits and risks of water fluoridation for human health. |
