Description: This report presents the findings of research conducted on behalf of the Irish Hospice Foundation, with the support of the Health Services National Partnership Forum, by Weafer and Associates Research & Consultancy Ltd and TNS MRBI. The research has been undertaken as part of the work of the Care for People Dying in Hospitals Project, an Irish Hospice Foundation initiative, which is in partnership with the North-Eastern Health Board at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. The principal aim of the research was to explore and understand the attitudes of the Irish population towards death and dying and towards the care of people dying in Irish hospitals.
