| Description: | This Plan is the fulfilment of commitments made in the Health Strategy 'Shaping a Healthier
Future'. The National Document, A Planfor Women's Health 1997-1999, produced by the
Depru tment of Health was the result of a unique process of consultation which had taken
place with women over the previous eighteen months about their health needs and their
priorities for improvements in the health services.
The purpose of the Women's Health Advisory Committee is "to advise the Board on the
implementation of the recommendations to improve health services for women that emerged
during the consultative process".
The aim of the Women's Health Plan is to maximise the health and social gain of women
residing in the Mid-Western Health Board area. |
