| Description: | The purpose of this report is to benchmark HSE compliance with its statutory
obligations in relation to foster care and relative care as prescribed in the Child Care
(Placement of Children in Foster Care) Regulations, 1995, the Child Care (Placement
of Children with Relatives) Regulations, 1995 and the National Standards for Foster
Care (2003); to identify areas where services are working well; and to highlight areas
for service improvement where the audit reveals deficiencies in service delivery.
A Preliminary Analysis Report, based on summary information, was issued in January
2010. Appendix 1 in this report provides a synopsis of the information contained in
that report.
This report provides a considerable amount of new information in relation to the
performance of the HSE regarding the provision of services to children, foster carers and relative carers. |
